What We Believe

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17

Beliefs & Core Values

The core beliefs of New Life Tabernacle Belle Glade are grounded in the foundational truths of the Bible. Every aspect of our teaching and ministry is rooted in Scripture and flows from sound biblical doctrine.

God

We believe there is one true God, the Creator of heaven, earth, and all mankind, who has revealed Himself as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Spirit in regeneration and active work, and who is the First and the Last, with no God beside Him.
Genesis 1:1; John 1:1, 14; Isaiah 44:6–8; Isaiah 9:6; 1 Timothy 3:16)

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the final authority for salvation, doctrine, and Christian living.
2 Timothy 3:15–17

Salvation

We believe salvation is deliverance from sin through the blood of Jesus Christ and is experienced through repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit with the biblical evidence of speaking in other tongues, an experience Scripture calls the New Birth.
John 3:5; Acts 2:38

Prayer

We believe prayer is our vital line of communication with God and the pathway to a deeper relationship with Him; when communion with God becomes a priority, it brings spiritual, mental, emotional, and even physical transformation.
1 Timothy 2:1–3; Isaiah 56:7

Discipleship

We believe discipleship reflects Christlike character through intentional instruction, mentorship, training, and spiritual growth, producing believers who love God and others, live transformed lives, and continue Christ’s mission to seek and save the lost.
Galatians 5:22–26; 2 Corinthians 5:17

Community Engagement

We believe serving God means serving our community by meeting the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical needs of others, helping build stronger and healthier communities.
Matthew 25:36; Luke 14:12–14

ACTS 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
