Sunday School: A Pulpit in the Prison

Pastor Garmon

FOCUS VERSES: Acts 26:28-29

What is God showing us thru this scripture:

Even though Paul was a prisoner, he continued preaching Jesus Christ…

Even though he was facing circumstances it did not stop him from fulfilling his calling…

Even though Paul was bound in chains, the Gospel was not bound…

Even though Paul was in prison, it was not because of any crime he had committed.

Rather, he was being held because of accusations and opposition surrounding his

preaching of Jesus Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection…

This is WHAT we should take from this LESSON…

- God will be with us through our trials [2nd Timothy 2:9-10 NLT]…

- Our circumstances should not stop us from sharing the Gospel [Philippians 1:12-13]…

- We must remain faithful to God, even when we are treated unfairly [1st Peter 2:19-21 NLT]…

- God doesn’t want us to ever be ashamed to preach the gospel [Romans 1:16]…

- Sometimes the very thing we are going through is part of what God has already revealed to

us, but we fail to recognize it because it doesn't look the way we expected. [Acts 23:11]

This is what we should apply to our life from this lesson:

- I will point others to Christ in every trial [Acts 16:26-36 [NLT]…

- I will trust God, despite my circumstances…

- I will be bold to tell my story…

- I will not allow fear or opposition to silence my witness…

- I will remain faithful to God's calling, even when life becomes difficult…

- I will remember that my circumstances do not change God's Word…
